PuPaa

Multimedia Performance , 2008

PuPaa is a multimedia performance inspired by Butoh; a "dancescape" of transformative states of body, mind and perception. The dancers are entities living in obligatory symbiosis, reminiscent of a Mixotricha Paradoxa. While each entity expresses unique species characteristics, they create a collective body with the incorporeal connections of the images and sounds. The body later embraces the world of others as well, i.e. the audience.

PuPaa includes an installation at the Meany Theater lobby. Audiences are invited to the lobby during the intermission.
